[Genealogia SLP] 1301 SOMOS PRIMOS November 2011 144th Online Issue

Copy and paste: http://www.somosprimos.com/sp2011/spnov11/spnov11.htm

Dear Primos and friends:
Another jammed packed issue of information sent from all over the world. It is a joy to see the increasing numbers of Spanish/English bilingual Latinos writing essays in English, expressing a perspective not found in most U.S. textbooks. . . our contributions.  The internet has created a venue for sharing the past, helpful in understanding what our ancestors experienced and why the conditions exist today.  Hopefully we will not forget the past, but instead remember, and apply the lessons learned to the present.

In November we remember to give thanks for family and for the pioneering sacrifices, creativity, and industriousness which made this nation great.   Among the information, supportive of and honoring our military is an article by Dr. Lino García, Jr.  concerning Hispanic Recipients of the U.S. Congressional Medal of Honor,  and also a list of WW II Hispanic Recipients of  Distinguished Service Cross, and a list of WWII Hispanic Recipients of the Silver Star sent by Rick Leal.

GOD BLESS AMERICA, we sure need it . . .  Mimi
